SUPPORT EQUIPMENT

BERM

Berms may be used for secondary containment of portable tanks or bladders, oily waste storage areas, or decon areas. The smallest berms may be used as secondary containment for powered equipment.

BARRIER DAM

The barrier dam is deployed in streams or ditches to create a barrier to water or fuel flow. Once water has built up behind the barrier, fuel can be skimmed off the surface. Chadux currently uses 10-meter barrier dams that can hold back 2 feet of fluid.

BOOM VANE

The boom vane can be used to deploy containment or diversion boom in a current. The vane is made fast to an anchor point and the water current forces it away from the point of deployment. An operator can move the boom vane across the current by triggering a trip wire.

COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT

BGAN SATELLITE UNIT

Portable satellite based communication station capable of sending and receiving data.

CONTAINMENT

OCEAN BOOM

Used to contain, divert, or exclude oil in open water conditions. Chadux ocean boom comes in various sizes from 42” to 48” and is a mix of foam filled and in inflatable types.

HARBOR BOOM

Used to contain, divert, or exclude oil from areas in calm water conditions. Chadux harbor boom comes in various sizes from 18” to 26”. Most Chadux harbor boom is foam lled with a 12” to 14” skirt and a top tension cable.

FAST WATER BOOM

Used to contain, divert, or exclude oil in fast water conditions. Chadux fast water boom is 10” in total height and is foam filled.

SHORE SEAL BOOM

Used to create a seal at the shoreline when deploying containment boom. Shoreseal boom has two water-filled chambers at the bottom and an air-filled chamber at the top.

OCEAN BUSTER

Capable of collecting, containing and separating oil in open ocean environments at towing speeds (or currents) of up to 5 knots.

HARBOR BUSTER

Capable of collecting, containing and separating oil in protected nearshore ocean environments at towing speeds (or currents) of up to 3 knots.

RECOVERY: MECHANICAL TEMPORARY

LAMOR 50 SKIMMER

A high capacity oleophilic brush skimmer that may be used in stationary or advancing modes. Brushes rotate and lift oil from the surface of the water, thus minimizing the collection of water. Unit has DOP or lobe pump to move recovered product to storage.
